MoNa a.k.a Sad Girl is a rapper and hip-hop singer. She is known for incorporation of Chicana culture into her music and style, and her lyrics include Japanese, English, and Spanish.
She began performing under the name LiLy at age 16, later adopting her current stage name in 2007.
In 2005, she released 1,000 copies of her self-produced album, SAD GIRL, on North Side Records.
